Meet Your Orthodontist: Dr. Martin Rabinovich
Board Certified, Locally Rooted
Dr. Martin Rabinovich grew up in Marlboro, just north of Colts Neck in Monmouth County. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, then his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. From there he went to the University of Colorado for advanced specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, where he treated cleft lip and palate patients and other craniofacial cases through Children's Hospital Colorado.
That residency background matters more than it might sound. Orthodontists who train with complex pediatric cases tend to have a sharper eye for growth, airway, and jaw development issues that a routine adult case will not surface. For Colts Neck families with younger children, that early-evaluation expertise is part of what you are paying for.
Dr. Rabinovich is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists. He represented the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists on the AAO Council on New and Younger Members during his residency.

There is no pressure to start that day. Most families take the information home and call back within a week or two.
Paying for Braces: Insurance and Financing
We are in network with several major dental insurance plans that include orthodontic benefits. Call us with your insurance information and we will run a quick benefits check before your consultation, so the cost conversation starts with real numbers, not estimates.
For the portion not covered by insurance (or for patients without insurance), we offer flexible, no-interest monthly payment plans. There is no minimum credit score or third-party financing application for the in-house plan. We split the total over the treatment timeline so payments line up with your appointment schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions About Braces in Colts Neck
How long is the drive from Colts Neck to your Shrewsbury office?
About 15 to 18 minutes from most parts of Colts Neck, taking Route 537 east to Shrewsbury. The route is straightforward and the office has its own parking lot, so you are typically in the chair within five minutes of arriving.
Are braces or Invisalign better for my child?
It depends on the case and the kid. Braces handle a wider range of issues, including complex bite problems, and they work whether or not the patient remembers to wear them. Invisalign works well for mild to moderate cases and gives teens a more cosmetic option, but it only works if the aligners are in the mouth roughly 22 hours a day. For most younger children, traditional braces are the more reliable choice. For older teens with mild cases and the discipline to wear aligners consistently, Invisalign is a strong option. The consultation includes a direct, honest recommendation based on the case in front of us.
At what age should my child first see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic check by age 7. Most kids that age will not need treatment yet, but early evaluation catches the small number of cases where early intervention prevents bigger problems later. If your pediatric dentist has mentioned crowding, crossbite, thumb-sucking concerns, or jaw alignment, a consultation now is worth the visit.
What happens at a free orthodontic consultation?
The visit is no cost, takes about 45 to 60 minutes, and includes a 3D scan, a panoramic X-ray, a clinical exam with Dr. Rabinovich, a discussion of treatment options, and a clear cost and timeline estimate before you leave. You are not committed to anything and most families take the information home before deciding.
Do you offer monthly payment plans for braces?
Yes. We split the total cost into no-interest monthly payments stretched across the treatment period. There is no credit application for the in-house plan. We also accept dental insurance with orthodontic benefits and will run a benefits check before your consultation so the cost conversation starts with your actual out-of-pocket.
