How do you handle appointments around school and work schedules?
Adjustment appointments happen every six to eight weeks for most patients and last 15 to 30 minutes. We schedule the next appointment at the end of the current visit, so families can pick a time that fits their calendar two months ahead. Late-afternoon slots (3:00 to 5:30 p.m.) are reserved for school-age kids and tend to fill up first; booking early is the best way to get them. For adults, we offer earlier and later slots within our 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. window. Saturday appointments are available by request.
Are there orthodontic problems that get worse if you wait?
Yes. A few examples: untreated severe crowding can make routine cleaning difficult, which raises the risk of cavities and gum disease over years. An untreated crossbite in a child often becomes a skeletal jaw asymmetry as the child grows, which is harder to correct in adulthood. Untreated thumb-sucking past age 5 or 6 can shape the palate and bite in ways that take longer to undo later. And general crowding tends to get worse with age, not better, because the natural drift of teeth is forward and inward over decades.
